Class Description

Age: 7-11 years old 1 hour Uh-oh! Something has gone terribly wrong in the laboratory! A mysterious experiment has triggered an unexpected reaction, the lab's security system has activated, and all the doors are locked. The scientist is missing, the computer is flashing warnings, and the only way out is to solve the puzzles hidden throughout the lab! In this one-time, escape room-style class, learners will become junior scientists on a mission to figure out what happened and restore the lab's systems before time runs out. They will explore states of matter, identify mystery substances using scientific clues, investigate simple chemical reactions, and put experiment steps in the correct order. Each challenge will unlock a new clue, bringing them closer to discovering the cause of the lab malfunction and finding the escape code. But be careful! Not every clue is as straightforward as it seems. Learners will need to observe carefully, recognize patterns, use logic, and think like real scientists to solve each challenge. Can they crack the codes, uncover the mystery, and unlock the lab before the countdown reaches zero? Get ready for a bubbling, puzzling, science-filled adventure where curiosity is encouraged, mistakes are part of discovery, and every clue brings you one step closer to escape. The lab is locked. The clock is ticking. Can you solve the mystery? This class meets live online for one session, offering learners a focused and engaging learning experience in a single meeting. The session is held via Pencil Spaces, making it easy for families to join from anywhere. Pencil Spaces is used to post announcements, supply lists, and any helpful resources, as well as to support communication between learners, families, and the teacher before and after class, so everyone feels prepared and connected.
