Creative Storytelling • Build Writing Skills • Writing Confidence COMING SCHOOL YEAR 2026-27!!! Age: 7-10 years old 50 minutes 1 day/week Does your child groan when it’s time to write? In Story Lab: Creative & Funny Writing for Kids, we turn writing into a laugh-out-loud adventure! This class is perfect for young learners who want to have fun while building confidence with words, sentences, and stories. Each week, we start with a funny photo or scenario—from playful dogs and curious monkeys to magical creatures and imaginary worlds—and brainstorm ideas together as a class. Students will explore who’s in the picture, what might be happening, and how to tell a story in the funniest, most creative way possible. Under the guidance of our energetic, laid-back teachers, writing becomes a team effort and a joyful experience. Along the way, learners practice essential writing skills like sentence structure, paragraph building, descriptive language, punctuation, and storytelling—without ever feeling like “work.” Throughout the class, kids will: Create funny stories inspired by animals, nature, imaginary worlds, and everyday life. Build confidence in sharing ideas and expressing themselves creatively. Learn important writing skills while laughing and having fun. By the end of the class, students will see writing as something exciting, playful, and totally their own. Whether it’s crafting stories about robots, treehouses, squirrels, or magical castles, writing will never feel boring again! All sessions are held through Pencil Spaces, making it easy for families to join from anywhere. Pencil Spaces is also used to post announcements, supply lists, assignments, and helpful resources, as well as to support communication between learners, families, and the teacher, keeping everyone connected and informed for the duration of the subscription.
