Class Description

Age: 7-11 years old 1 hour Houston, we have a problem! Your spaceship has drifted off course, the navigation system has crashed, and your oxygen and fuel supplies are running low. Earth is somewhere out there, but the ship's computer can't figure out how to get you home. It's time to put your space knowledge and problem-solving skills to the test! In this one-time, escape room-style class, learners will become space explorers on a mission to repair their ship and find their way back to Earth. Along the way, they will solve a series of space-themed puzzles using science, math, logic, and critical thinking. From identifying planets and putting them in the correct order to calculating fuel supplies, decoding star maps, and solving navigation challenges, every puzzle will reveal a new clue needed to complete the mission. But the clock is ticking, and every decision counts! Learners will need to think carefully, connect clues, and work through each challenge to restore the ship's systems before their resources run out. Can they crack the codes, plot a safe course, and make it home? Get ready for an out-of-this-world adventure filled with cosmic clues, tricky puzzles, and plenty of opportunities to think like a scientist. The mission is in your hands. Can you find your way home? This class meets live online for one session, offering learners a focused and engaging learning experience in a single meeting. The session is held via Pencil Spaces, making it easy for families to join from anywhere. Pencil Spaces is used to post announcements, supply lists, and any helpful resources, as well as to support communication between learners, families, and the teacher before and after class, so everyone feels prepared and connected.
