Class Description

COMING SCHOOL YEAR 2026-27!!! Age: 14-18 years old 1 hour per class 1 day per week Geometry is everywhere — in art, architecture, nature, design, and the world your teen moves through every day. In this full-year High School Geometry class, we explore math in a way that feels hands-on, visual, and actually useful. Designed especially for homeschooling families, this class blends clear teaching, discussion, and interactive activities so students don’t just memorize formulas — they see how math works. We measure angles, build and classify triangles, investigate patterns, and experiment with transformations like reflections and rotations. As the year continues, learners dive into proofs, congruence, similarity, the Pythagorean Theorem, trigonometry, circles, and even surface area and volume of 3D shapes. Expect lots of drawing, problem solving, real-life examples, and “aha!” moments along the way. Our online space is relaxed, friendly, and encouraging. Questions are always welcome, mistakes are part of learning, and every student is supported at their own pace. Whether your teen already enjoys math or needs a confidence boost, we focus on helping them feel capable, curious, and successful. All sessions are held through Pencil Spaces, making it easy for families to join from anywhere. Pencil Spaces is also used to post announcements, supply lists, assignments, and helpful resources, as well as to support communication between learners, families, and the teacher, keeping everyone connected and informed for the duration of the subscription.
