Class Description

COMING SCHOOL YEAR 2026-27!!! Age: 8-10 years old 1 hour 1 day per week Step into Curious Calculators, a year-long adventure where 4th graders explore numbers, shapes, and patterns while building confidence and becoming independent problem-solvers. In this class, math is more than just numbers — it’s discovery, curiosity, and a chance to see how math connects to the world around us. Throughout the year, students dive into exciting topics like multi-digit addition and subtraction, multiplication and division strategies, fractions and decimals, geometry with angles and shapes, measurement and conversions, data and graphing, and multi-step word problems. They’ll also explore patterns, relationships, and real-world applications that make math meaningful and fun. Classes are hands-on and interactive, with games, collaborative challenges, discussions, and activities that encourage learners to think critically and creatively. Each lesson is paced to ensure understanding while building fluency and confidence. Teachers provide individualized guidance and feedback, making sure every student feels supported and engaged, and optional practice helps reinforce learning at home. By the end of the year, your 4th grader will have a strong foundation across the full range of 4th grade math skills, along with the curiosity, independence, and problem-solving mindset to tackle future challenges with confidence. All sessions are held through Pencil Spaces, making it easy for families to join from anywhere. Pencil Spaces is also used to post announcements, supply lists, assignments, and helpful resources, as well as to support communication between learners, families, and the teacher, keeping everyone connected and informed for the duration of the subscription.
