Class Description
Age: 4-7 years old 35 minutes, 5 meetings Let’s blast off into space and explore our solar system through art! In this fun, creative 5-week class, young learners will discover the Sun and all eight planets while creating their own colorful space-inspired artwork. Each week, we’ll learn a little about different parts of our solar system and then turn what we’ve discovered into art. Our space adventure will include: Week 1: The Sun We’ll explore the center of our solar system and learn about the Sun before creating our own bright and colorful Sun artwork. Week 2: Mercury & Venus We’ll travel closer to the Sun to discover Mercury and Venus and create artwork inspired by these two fascinating planets. Week 3: Earth & Mars We’ll explore our own planet and its neighboring world, Mars, before creating our own Earth and Mars masterpieces. Week 4: Jupiter & Saturn We’ll travel farther into space to discover giant Jupiter and beautiful, ringed Saturn, then bring them to life through art. Week 5: Uranus & Neptune Our space adventure ends with a visit to Uranus and Neptune! We’ll review what we’ve learned about our solar system with a fun song before creating our final planet artwork. Each 35-minute class combines simple science, conversation, creativity, and hands-on art. There’s no right or wrong way to make your artwork. Learners are encouraged to use their imagination and make each creation their own. Come explore, create, and make a little space magic with us! Multi-week classes meet live online once a week, giving learners a consistent and engaging space to explore a topic, build skills, and learn through hands-on activities and discussion. All sessions are held via Pencil Spaces, making it easy for families to join from anywhere. Lesson materials, activity details, helpful resources, and any optional assignments will be posted there as well.
