Class Description

Ongoing Enrollment • Project-Based • Inclusive • Hands-On COMING SCHOOL YEAR 2026-27!!! Age: 14-17 years old 1 hour per class 4 days per week Welcome to a high school year that feels connected, hands-on, and human — not stiff or overwhelming. Our 10th Grade Discovery Academy brings learning to life through projects, discussions, creativity, and real-world experiences. Designed especially for homeschooling families, this full-year program blends structure with flexibility so teens can grow academically and socially in a warm, supportive community. Each week, students explore a balanced mix of subjects including Geometry, Chemistry, literature and writing, grammar and spelling, economics, civics, and world geography — all taught in ways that feel meaningful and approachable. One day they might be experimenting with chemical reactions or exploring the periodic table, the next solving triangle puzzles and real-life geometry problems, crafting essays and stories, learning how governments work, or practicing practical life skills like budgeting, job applications, and smart money habits. We keep classes interactive and discussion-based, with space for questions, collaboration, creativity, and laughter. Teachers guide, encourage, and support each learner so they feel confident trying new things and stretching their thinking. This isn’t just “more schoolwork.” It’s a place where teens build skills, make friends, discover strengths, and actually enjoy learning. Think: * hands-on projects * real-world connections * supportive community * engaging, teen-friendly learning A high school experience that feels both challenging and encouraging — the best of both worlds. All sessions are held live online through Pencil Spaces, making it easy for families to join from anywhere. We also use Pencil Spaces to share assignments, weekly spelling lists, announcements, and helpful resources, ensuring families stay connected and informed throughout the year.
