Price: $45 (approx. This small-group camp is designed for learners who love animals and enjoy learning by doing. Through fun, interactive projects, students will explore animal adaptations, habitats, and life cycles while building friendships along the way. Each day is packed with hands-on, project-based activities that help big science ideas come to life. Our caring, inclusive teachers support every learner and adapt activities so all children can participate and succeed, no matter their experience level. What We’ll Explore Each Day Day 1: Arctic Animal Adaptations How do animals survive in freezing temperatures? Learners will explore how Arctic animals stay warm and safe, then take part in a fun experiment to test different “adaptations” and see what works best! Day 2: Sharks, Gravity & Buoyancy If gravity exists in the ocean, why don’t sharks sink? Students will investigate how buoyancy works through an exciting, kid-friendly experiment that explains how animals stay afloat in deep water. Day 3: Butterfly Life Cycles & Art We’ll learn all about the amazing life cycle of butterflies and finish the camp by painting a beautiful Monarch butterfly to celebrate everything we’ve learned. Day 4: Nighttime Navigators Students discover how animals survive at night using enhanced senses like echolocation, night vision, and sensitive hearing. A Camp Where Every Learner Belongs This camp is designed to be friendly, inclusive, and confidence-building, with plenty of chances for learners to share ideas, ask questions, and collaborate with peers. No prior science experience is needed — just curiosity and a love for animals! Join us for a week of discovery, creativity, and hands-on science your learner will be excited to talk about long after camp ends! Camp sessions meet live online for four days over one week, giving learners a fun, focused, and engaging experience in a short period of time. All sessions are held via Pencil Spaces, making it easy for families to join from anywhere. Pencil Spaces is used to post announcements, supply lists, activity details, and helpful resources, as well as to support communication between learners, families, and the teacher, so everyone stays informed and prepared throughout the camp.
