Class Description

Interactive Literature Study • Critical Thinking • Engaging Discussions Price: $101.25 (approx. GBP 75.52) Age: 9-12 years old 50 minutes per class once a week for 9 weeks Step into the magical world of The Girl Who Drank the Moon and join Luna on her journey of courage, discovery, and unexpected magic! In this interactive literature study, learners will explore the story’s rich characters, meaningful themes, and award-winning storytelling while building critical reading and analytical skills. Guided by passionate reading teachers, students meet once per week to discuss the book and uncover the deeper meanings behind Luna’s journey. Through engaging conversations and thoughtful exploration, learners will examine key literary elements, including: Character development & motivation Conflict & resolution Plot & story structure Symbolism & theme Context & author’s purpose While the story sparkles with magical moments, its heart lies in human emotion, growth, and the power of love, friendship, and sacrifice. Students will have the opportunity to share insights, ask questions, and engage with peers in a welcoming and inclusive environment. How the Class Works Learners read assigned chapters at home each week Classes meet live online for 1-hour weekly discussions & activities Activities include group discussions, guided analysis, art projects, & interactive exploration of the story Reading Schedule Week 1 – Introduction to the novel Week 2 – Chapters 1–6 Week 3 – Chapters 7–12 Week 4 – Chapters 13–19 Week 5 – Chapters 20–26 Week 6 – Chapters 27–30 Week 7 – Chapters 31–36 Week 8 – Chapters 37–42 Week 9 – Chapters 43–48 Come join us for an unforgettable adventure—discover the magic, mystery, and meaning of The Girl Who Drank the Moon! Book clubs meet live online once a week, providing learners with a consistent and engaging space to discuss their reading and share ideas. All sessions are held via Pencil Spaces, making it easy for families to join from anywhere. Reading assignments, project details, discussion questions, and helpful resources will be posted there as well. Pencil Spaces is also used for communication between learners, families, and the teacher, helping everyone stay connected and supported throughout the course.


Cancellation Policy

All of Wild and Unstructured Learning's online classes have a minimum enrollment requirement of 2 learners to run. If a class does not have 2 learners, it will be canceled and a refund will be issued. Classes are eligible for full refunds up to 48 hours before the start of the class.
