Class Description

Build Literacy Skills • Hands-On Creativity • Adventure & Learning Price: $52.50 (approx. GBP 39.16) Age: 6-10 years old 45 minutes per class meets once a week for 5 weeks Step into the magical world of Jack and Annie in Dinosaurs Before Dark by Mary Pope Osborne! This 5-week adventure is perfect for young readers who love stories, imagination, and hands-on fun. Meeting once a week for 45 minutes, students will read aloud, explore prehistoric adventures, and bring the story to life through creative projects and interactive activities that build reading confidence, comprehension, and fluency. Throughout the course, learners will travel back in time with Jack and Annie, meet fascinating dinosaurs, and discover the thrill of storytelling. Each session blends reading with hands-on creativity—making timelines, building 3D tree house models, creating dinosaur fact cards, and more—so kids can see the story unfold in fun, memorable ways. Students will also practice important reading skills like decoding new words, summarizing events, and discussing characters’ choices, all in a supportive, inclusive environment where curiosity and imagination are encouraged. Families will love watching their learners gain confidence, explore new ideas, and connect with a story in ways that go beyond the pages of the book. By the end of the class, every student will have retold the adventure using their own projects and even imagined alternate endings—turning reading into an unforgettable interactive experience! Note: Each student and teacher will need their own copy of Dinosaurs Before Dark by Mary Pope Osborne. All sessions are held via Pencil Spaces, making it easy for families to join from anywhere. Reading assignments, project details, discussion questions, and helpful resources will be posted there as well. Pencil Spaces is also used for communication between learners, families, and the teacher, helping everyone stay connected and supported throughout the course.


Cancellation Policy

All of Wild and Unstructured Learning's online classes have a minimum enrollment requirement of 2 learners to run. If a class does not have 2 learners, it will be canceled and a refund will be issued. Classes are eligible for full refunds up to 48 hours before the start of the class.
