Class Description
Interactive Book Study • Critical Thinking • Engaging Discussions Price: $90 (approx. GBP 67.13) Age: 11-15 years old 50 minutes per class meets once a week for 8 weeks Step into a thought-provoking world and join us for an engaging literature adventure with The Giver by Lois Lowry! In this 8-week online literature study, learners will explore big ideas like choice, emotions, fairness, and bravery while connecting with characters and sharing ideas in a supportive community of readers. Each week, meaningful discussions are blended with creative projects, games, and hands-on activities to encourage students to think about the story in fun and thoughtful ways. During class, learners will: * Explore how the community in the story works & why it matters * Discuss character choices & how they grow and change * Discover important themes & symbols * Share ideas, listen to others, & build confidence speaking in a group * Express understanding through art, writing, & creative projects No matter a learner’s reading style or comfort level with speaking, everyone is welcome and encouraged to participate in ways that feel right for them. Our goal is to create a kind, inclusive space where curiosity and thoughtful conversation can grow. Reading at Home: Learners will read the first two chapters before the first class and then continue reading 2–3 chapters per week to finish the novel over the 8 weeks. This class is more than a book study — it’s a chance for learners to think deeply, create freely, and grow as readers while enjoying a powerful story together. All sessions are held via Pencil Spaces, making it easy for families to join from anywhere. Reading assignments, project details, discussion questions, and helpful resources will be posted there as well. Pencil Spaces is also used for communication between learners, families, and the teacher, stay connected and supported throughout the course.


Cancellation Policy
All of Wild and Unstructured Learning's online classes have a minimum enrollment requirement of 2 learners to run. If a class does not have 2 learners, it will be canceled and a refund will be issued. Classes are eligible for full refunds up to 48 hours before the start of the class.
