Age: 9-13 years old 55 minutes Welcome to Build-A-Biome with Wild and Unstructured Learning, where learners become young scientists exploring the incredible environments of our planet! In this engaging science class, students will discover the major biomes of Earth, from dry deserts to lush rainforests and from vast oceans to freshwater habitats. Together, we’ll explore the eight terrestrial (land) biomes and the two aquatic (water) biomes, learning about: - Climate and weather patterns - Plant and animal life - Soil, water, and land features - Why each biome is important to our planet Hands-On Project: Create Your Own Mini Biome The highlight of the class is a fun, creative terrarium-building project, where learners design their own mini, self-sustaining ecosystem. This hands-on activity helps bring big science ideas to life and gives students something exciting to take pride in and continue observing at home. Learn Together Our classes are discussion-based and highly interactive, giving learners plenty of chances to share ideas, ask questions, and learn from one another. Students will connect with both the teacher and their peers while building confidence, curiosity, and collaboration skills.
