Meet The Team
Hey there! I am Tiara! I am founder and owner of Wild and Unstructured Learning LLC. I decided to jump into this business to cater to children who do not learn best in the traditional classroom environment. Children all learn so differently. My mission is to cater to them all. I have qualified and willing educators on my team who are ready to practice different learning styles in their online classrooms. I have been teaching online for 3 years. I teach ages 3-15 mostly English language arts and math. I use games, whiteboards and child involvement in my classes. I enjoy all different ages of children and helping them learn new concepts. I am always looking for new inclusive ways to teach. I am a homeschool mom of two girls ages 9 and 11. I enjoy spending time outdoors and in my garden every summer. I try to create a very warm and welcoming classroom online so that every child feels they have a place to belong. I can’t wait to meet your child in the classroom.
Administrator of Wild and Unstructured Learning LLC/Teacher
Hello! My name is Emily. I am a mom to three. We have done a variety of education options with our children-from virtual school to homeschool to public school. I started teaching online in 2018 with ESL classes where I completed close to 2,000 classes in two years! I am currently enjoying supporting teachers by handling the administrative side of the business.
I have a BS in American Sign Language Interpretation and enjoy teaching basic ASL classes to young learners when I have time. I have been working with children for well over 15 years from my volunteer work to teaching. I enjoy working behind the scenes and jumping in to teach when needed. Variety keeps things interesting!

Hello! My name is Andrea and I am happy to meet you. I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself. I am happily married with 3 kiddos- one who graduated this year, one who is homeschooling next year, and then our little caboose who will be 2 years old this summer. We live on a small permaculture farm where we raise chickens, cows, pigs, and goats. We also have a garden along with young fruit trees.
I have been teaching for over 22 years- grades 3-8. I spent 16 years in 3rd grade where I taught all the subjects including cursive and gifted and talented reading. I also co-taught/coached the school's chess club. Then I transitioned to teaching only 3rd and 4th grades Reading/Writing and Social Studies. Two years later, I became a Junior High Reading/Writing and Career teacher and I also coached various junior high and high school sports. My most recent position was 7th grade Reading/Writing and Gifted/Talented teacher. I have my Bachelors and Masters in Education with a minor in History.
I have several years of experience tutoring in all areas along with online and in-person teaching. I have also had the pleasure of working with students with special needs and those who are ESL learners. My passion is reading and writing along with helping students become lifelong readers and learners! I am looking forward to teaching your excited learners.
Kristen Vale da Serra
Hello everyone! My name is Kristen and I am teacher for Wild and Unstructured Learning as well as one of the curriculum writers for the company.
When I was in college I was an one-on-one teacher for children with special needs during the summer months. I studied Early Education at Mount Holyoke College, and also worked at their childcare center. I graduated and started teaching in 2005. I taught 1st grade for 4 years, 2nd grade for 3 years, and went back to teaching 1st grade for another 3 years. My classroom included regular education learners, special education learners, and English language learners. I differentiated instruction, so all my learners were able to assess the curriculum and learn the best they could. During that time, I also earned my Masters in Education from American International College. After 10 years of teaching in the earlier grades, I became certified as an English as a Second Language teacher for learners in Pre-K through 12th grade. In the past 6 years, I have worked with learners in elementary school, middle school, and high school. With my oldest learners, I frequently had to tutor them in math, science, and social studies as well as teaching them English. I have a total of 16 years working in the public schools. I am super excited for this next phase in my teaching career. I believe learning should always be fun and engaging for children and that's what Wild and Unstructured Learning is all about!
